A DVD compilation of the WACT bicentenary celebrations weekend made by professional film makers is available for our members and supporters to buy.
Made by Live Sound of Guildford, it includes scenes of the bicentennial baton relay from Pallingham Lock up to Loxwood, the horse-drawn boat trips and lots more of the fun during the day on the Saturday.
The filming for the Sunday includes the baton arriving by mouseboat at Tickner’s Heath, then the official opening of the new bridge at Compasses Bridge by Dame Penelope Keith with the speeches by Dame Penelope and project manager Tony Ford.
The film finishes with the boat flotilla from Gun’s Mouth Island in Shalford up to Dapdune Wharf, the celebration tea, the narrowboat-naming ceremony by the Mayor of Guildford and the Inland Waterways Association grant presentation. Lots of action and plenty of fabulous memories to enjoy.
Depending on the number ordered, we hope to keep the price to £8. When we have a final price we will also confirm P&P or collection details.
