One of Surrey’s most-popular wind bands is staging an evening of musical entertainment to raise money for the Trust.
Bourne Concert Band is the star of the show at Cranleigh Village Hall on Saturday, February 20.
Main organiser of the event is Trust member Brian White, who has raised a significant amount of money for good causes through staging events featuring the band.
The musicians – who play selections ranging from light classical to modern – will entertain with music on a travel and transport theme.
In demand for concerts throughout the year, they have performed at venues across the South of England and have ventured abroad to play in France, Holland, Belgium and the Channel Islands.
The conductor is Jonathan Spencer, a post-graduate of the Royal College of Music and a graduate of the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. He is a seasoned musician and performer he is currently studying at the Royal Military School of Music in Twickenham to become a bandmaster.
Tickets for the concert are £12.50, £9 for under-16s, including a glass of wine or soft drink and a programme. The doors open at 7pm and the concert starts at 7.30pm.
